Did you know that mortgage Rates Vary by Lender?

Mortgage Rates Vary by Lender, So Shop Around
While mortgages are largely a commoditized product, unlike perhaps a TV or a smartphone with unique technology, their cost can still vary considerably by lender.
The reason mortgage rates are different across banks and lenders could be a result of operating costs, risk appetite, desire to dominant a certain region, and so on.
If one bank’s strategy is to be the most competitive on rate in California, they might be able to smoke the competition. But you won’t know that if you only speak to one company and it happens to not be that bank.

Even One Additional Quote Can Save You Thousands!

mortgage price competition
  • Borrowers who gather just two mortgage quotes
  • Can save between $966 and $2,086
  • Over the life of the home loan
  • The savings jump even higher if you get 5+ quotes
I get it – no one wants to do it, it’s painful, it’s annoying, it can be time-consuming. Who wants to be badgered by multiple salespeople? No one.
But you need to change your mindset and look at that time spent as an investment. What is your ROI for spending a few additional hours speaking to other banks, credit unions, and mortgage brokers?
A new analysis from mortgage financier Freddie Mac found that the ROI could be sky-high, seeing that 80% of borrowers who obtained just one additional mortgage rate quote will save between $966 and $2,086 over the life of their home loan.
This all has to do with what Freddie refers to as the “dispersion of mortgage rates,” which is essentially the difference in mortgage rates offered by lenders during a typical week.
Freddie releases their popular mortgage rate survey every Thursday, so they know firsthand there’s quite a disparity in mortgage interest rates offered by their many survey participants.
For example, one lender might be offering a rate of 4.5% on the 30-year fixed, while another could be offering a significantly lower 4.125%.
Today's Rates
The table above shows the average difference in rates between lenders over time by home purchase and refinance quote. It’s more than half a point at the moment.
That difference in rate would result in monthly payment savings and even more in interest savings over the course of the loan term.
But you might not ever know about that 4.125% rate if you simply settle for the first rate you see, which is what more than half of mortgage shoppers do.
Yes, the majority only obtain one quote, and a study a few years ago revealed that lower-income borrowers were even more likely to obtain just one quote.

How Much Can You Save?

  • Like the rates, the savings will vary
  • Based on the size of your loan
  • How long you actually keep it
  • And how variable rates are at the time of shopping
While the savings will of course vary based on a number of factors, Freddie’s analysis revealed some interesting tidbits.
I already mentioned that just one more quote could save you thousands. But it gets even better if you obtain five or more quotes. Sure, that sounds like a grind, but hear me out.
The average expected savings jump to $2,914 if a borrower gathers five rate quotes. And some of these shoppers could save as much as $3,904.
How much you’ll actually save will be driven by loan amount, with larger ones capable of saving homeowners more money due to their sheer size.
Another factor is tenure, with those who keep their lower-rate mortgages longer saving more money.
So if you don’t plan to refinance your mortgage or sell your home anytime soon, taking a moment to shop around can be even more profitable. Conversely, someone who only plans to keep their home loan for a year or two may not see much of a difference.
The final factor Freddie pointed out is the dispersion of rates over time, which they said has “remained surprisingly constant over time.”
Yep, apparently no matter when you apply for a mortgage, there’s always a pretty wide spread between lender rates.
However, during periods of so-called “economic stress,” the potential gains realized from rate shopping can be even greater.
In other words, if the economy is on a roller coaster ride, there’s a good chance you can find a sweet spot and save even more dough if you take the time to click or call around.

THE BIGGEST CONTROVERSIES OF INDIAN CRICKETERS : PART 2

Welcome again!
If you are seeing this post, you probably would've seen the first post on this topic. If you haven't, then go see that first.

So let's get started.

The Indian cricketer triggered a controversy in 2012 by showing the middle finger to the Sydney crowd during a Test match between India and Australia(refer to the last post😆). He made the gesture while fielding on the boundary. Although Virat claimed that he lost temper after being verbally abused by the spectators, he was fined half the match fee, and when he was asked to do so, he made a gesture like the one shown in the photograph.

uhh: not this one

Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin’s career ended in disgrace in 2000 when he was banned for life from playing the game after he admitted to fixing three ODI matches. Although the court lifted the ban in 2012, Azhar's career was already over.

MS Dhoni lost his cool after India's exit from the 2016 T20 World Cup at the semi-final against the West Indies. When a foreign journalist asked him about his retirement from the shorter versions of the game during the post-match press conference, the Indian skipper invited him to sit next to him on the dais. When the reporter sat down, Dhoni asked him: "Do you think I can survive till the 2019 World Cup?" The Aussie reporter replied: "You should, yes, sure." "Then you have answered the question," Dhoni told the reporter.

That's it for today! Keep following us for more content like this!

GREAT MOVIE BY THE WAY

YEP- That's Harbhajan Singh.

So here we are again with something rather more interesting to talk about:Controversies!
There will be 3 posts on this topic, as the controversies and bakchodi done by Indian Cricketers can't be covered in a single post.
And again- this is our Bhajji in the above photograph(I don't know how to use photoshop).

So let's get started.

⬇️

1. GAUTAM GAMBHIR

During the third ODI against Pakistan at Kanpur in 2007, Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi got involved in a heated argument. The incident took place after the two players collided with each other when Gambhir ran for a single. Match Referee Roshan Mahanama fined Afridi and Gambhir 95% and 65% of their match fees, respectively, for using abusive language. Glad there was an Indian referee their, because a foreigner couldn't have possibly understood the mc bc happening between the two.

2. MS DHONI

A case was registered in a Bengaluru court against 'Captain Cool' for allegedly denigrating(meaning to criticize(आलोचना)) Lord Vishnu in 2015 after Dhoni posed for an advertisement in a magazine as Vishnu. The petitioner said that MSD hurt the religious sentiments of the Hindus. However, the Supreme Court quashed the criminal case against the cricketer on September 5, 2016, saying that the case was too dumb to be dealt with.

3.HARBHAJAN SINGH

The off-spinner landed in controversy in 2006 after leaving his hair uncovered in an advertisement. Later, he apologised to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) - the apex religious body of Sikhs, saying that he had no intentions of hurting the religious sentiments.

4.VIRENDER SEHWAG

In an apparent dig at MS Dhoni,Virender Sehwag claimed that India won the 2011 World Cup because the team was just too good and his leadership played a minimalist role in the country's historic triumph.
Sehwag said: "I don't know what others feel but Dhoni's captaincy alone didn't win World Cup for India. We had a very strong team already so we won the World Cups - T20 and World Cup. If you have a good team, you win. It's simple."
Jalta hai saala dhoni se.

5. VIRAT KOHLI
Slide 5 of 26

All of you must be wondering why i didn't mention him till now: especially when the topic is controversies. Well,i kept the best for the last.

So,he abused an Indian journalist of a national daily in Perth during the 2015 ICC World Cup after reading an article about him and his then girlfriend Anushka Sharma(Now she's his wife:don't get me wrong😛😛). Later, Virat discovered that he had abused the wrong guy, as the man he had abused wasn't the journalist who had written that piece. Virat immediately apologised to that reporter.

That will be the end of it. Come back tomorrow for more. Don't push it if you don't want to come again, i'll take that for granted that your sense of humour isn't upto the mark.

Goodbye!!

We here at bcci_empire talk about stuff that gets you cricket fans excited. Stay tuned for daily updates!!

Today we will be talking about the top scorers of the much celebrated Indian Premier League. IPL started a decade ago,and since from its start, it has created for itself a pretty strong fanbase.
Toh chaliye hum bhi shuru karte hai beena kisi bakchodi ke.

Now, the betaaj baadshah in this regard is, the one and only, Christopher Henry Gayle, with a smashing score of 175* runs. This score, which was set in 2013, is still unbeatable. Poor RCB(which is destined to lose in this season too), sold this valuable player.

Moving on ⇒
This score is chased by another great player,Brendon McCullum, who scored a whooping 158* in 73 balls and that too, against RCB (lol) in the year 2008.
